Key Considerations
Confidence in Water
If your child is apprehensive about submerging or has never taken swimming lessons before, it may be best to start in the NEW Beginners or Beginners classes. These classes focus on building confidence and comfort in the water without the pressure of swimming independently.
Existing Skills
If your child can already paddle 3 meters independently, they are likely ready for the Paddlers class. Our curriculum is designed for children who can hold themselves on the water, providing them with a more advanced learning environment.
Setting a Foundation
For children who can submerge but have not yet learned to float, the Beginners Advanced class is a perfect fit. This level helps children develop essential swimming skills while still focusing on safety and comfort.
Watch and Decide
To further assist in making an informed decision, we encourage you to check out this informative video: Minimum Skills for Paddlers. It showcases the skills required to enroll in the Paddlers level and offers visual guidance that might resonate with your child's experience.
Conclusion
Choosing the right swimming class for your child is crucial in fostering a love for swimming and ensuring their safety in the water. Whether your child feels more comfortable starting in the Beginners class or is ready to take the plunge into Paddlers, Alison Tam Swimming is here to support their journey.
