Prepare for Your Swim Lesson at the Kowloon Cricket Club (KCC)
Thank you for booking your first lesson with us! Here's how to prepare for your swimming lesson at the Kowloon Cricket Club.
You must be a member or a registered guest of a member to enter the club and take lessons here. KCC staff reserve the right to deny entry.
Class Confirmation
After booking your lesson online, you will receive an automated confirmation email.
If you don’t see it, check your junk mail folder.
Still missing it? Your booking may not have gone through. You can check your bookings by logging into the website or messaging us.
Your confirmation email will include:
What you booked
Your coach’s name
Date and time of the lesson
Location
Once booked, you are subject to our Terms & Conditions, so please ensure your booking is correct.
Lesson Fees
Charged directly to member's account.
Guests will incur a 20% surcharge.
Charges depend on number of sign ups. Please refer to the chart on the KCC Page. Contact us if you wish to withdraw if you are the only student and therefore subject to private lesson fees.
The Pool
25m outdoor pool
Rash guards and sun screen may be needed depending on weather
Lessons will generally go ahead if the pool is open and it is safe to do so. Do understand that we cannot predict the weather so there may be a degree of uncertainty on days when the weather is unstable.
Please make sure you have provided your phone number in case we need to contact you urgently.
Children will still need thermal wear during cooler months (when the air temperature drops below 25C)
Changing Rooms
Male and Female changing rooms are available.
Lockers are for storing items - ask for a locker key at the pool reception.

Basic Equipment for Swimmers
Flip-Flops:
Outdoor shoes are not allowed poolside.
Make sure your flip-flops are clean and dedicated for the pool.
Bring a bag to store them!
Swimsuit:
As it gets cooler, thermal wear is advisable.
Goggles:
Essential for all levels except Baby & Toddler and Kids Beginners classes.
Ensure they fit well—check this guide for help.
Swim Cap:
Essential for all levels from Kids Beginners upwards
Bring it for subsequent lessons to keep hair out of your face and protect against pool chemicals; and keep goggle straps in place.
Kick Board:
Required for all levels except Baby & Toddler and Kids Beginners.
If purchasing your own, choose a smaller, firmer board that suits the student's size.
